Between March 2024 and December 2024, a total of 12 Service Fairs were held. These fairs aimed to connect newly arrived residents with essential resources, including legal assistance, healthcare services, and benefits navigation. Over 35 local organizations participated, providing targeted support and facilitating access to crucial services for individuals and families in need. The fairs have continued through August 2025 offering services to ALL East Harlem community residents.
Service Fair attendance ranged between 50 and 400 participants, with greater attendance at fairs that included clothing distribution.
Most recently, the Consortium spearheaded the East Harlem Taskforce on Racial Inclusion and Equity, facilitating a participatory budgeting process that culminated in a series of community initiatives including a youth-led Photo Voice community needs assessment leading to a mobile gallery, a youth forum attended by community and elected leaders, a job and resource fair, and a community healing/neighborhood recovery event.
